  5. se w 395 is in fact a sagem updated by SE to be a walkman phone…
    bad :
    camera sucks, no auto focus(k750 2 mpx camera had that),low quality pictures.
    no java (for games), no themes, Images cannot be rotated or zoomed
    good things:
    looks nice
    with good speakers and music interface
    good battery

    it is a good phone for the people who listen music, talk and do not use phone to take pictures and play games

    i will rate this PHONE 7/10
    ( i use it for music and talking)

  10. I SO wouldn’t suggest anyone buy this phone. I’ve had mine since Oct ’09. Loved the look and the camera is good enough in an emergency – however that is where the problems start. SE support have been most unhelpful and I still can’t download my pics to my PC. So I intend to change it to something other than SE phone

    @ Bongo Junk: i have a 2gb card in it and its a solid space, what do you need 8gb for?????

    @clare : buy yorself a usb bluetooth(it costs about 10$ and you can download all the pics you want from phone to comp.

  13. This phone is a valuable and cheap walkman phone from sony ericsson that is capable of outputting a very high range of music. Made by SE specialised for music.
    I own this phone and I found the sound very very impressive. It went high upon my expectations giving a fabulous audio experience both with the headset and loudspeaker. This walkman doesn’t provide headphones with buds but an ordinary type, still it gives much superior sound. It has walkman player v2.0 that has the effect. Battery is also nice and stays a minimum of 1.5 days if we don’t play much music a day. There are some limitations with this phone such as a)No extra themes are accepted
    b)Camera clarity is a bit low(Doesn’t allow zooming at megapixels while taking snaps).
    c)Comparatively slower than the other walkman phones(I have a w700i)
    But the sound outruns all these limitations.

    If you are looking for an audio entertainment, definitely go for this. It won’t disappoint you.

  15. as far as i no u can only have the themes that come with it
    people obviously have problems with this phone and it bugs me, if you have a problem TELL SONY ERICSSON if enough people have the same prob they will do somrthing about it!!!!!

    is anyone have problems with the motion gaming that comes with it?
    mine isn’t working even when its turned on????
    have told sony but they havent replied yet

    you guys have to remember a phone is to make calls and text, it does this fine, anything else is an extra.
    i obviously no that the extras have to actually work but still, be realistic guys!!!! 🙂

  17. OMG DO NOT GET THIS PHONE IT’S CRAAAAAAAAAAAAP.
    – the set up looks like its designed for a three year old
    – you cant rotate your pictures (so you cant ever take portrait photos)
    – the 2mp camera has to be the worst i’ve ever seen (even for a phone)
    – it freezes up the minute you put more than 10 songs on it
    – the buttons are small and reeaaaally dodgy
    – and the themes are proving really hard to find

  18. hi i’m plannig to buy w395 specially for music i just want to know that can it support all types of music format & what about sms does it have limitations how many sms’s can be stored coz i hear lots of music & have lots of sms’s from my dear ones. price is good 6590 currently, any1 suggets me plzzz

  22. To the people who have problems installing games:

    1) Attach phone to PC.
    2) Go to MY COMPUTER open PHONE directory.
    3) Open the OTHER directory
    4) Cut & Paste the .JAR/.JAD files here
    5) Disconnect phone from PC
    6) On your mobile; MENU > FILE MANAGER > OTHER > Select INSTALL for the game you want

    The next time you go to the ENTERTAINMENT menu on your mobile, the new games will be there

  29. i bought this phone because it looks very attractive, but when i started using it i saw that it doesn’t support any theme which rubbish.
    it is a disaster for Sony ericsson.

    Best resolution
    amazing glossy style(black colour)….u wont fine in another phone.
    A Truly Good deal!!

    NO Themes,
    u cant zoom the photos,cam clarity bakwas, message memory very lessssss

  43. I was olso expierencing such problems with the phone if i played music it would just make a blurring noise and it would only stop if i took the b3 out. Music is great though i sent it back to SE and they have repaired it i have a w910i and that is the best phone one can ever have my 4th SE and the first to give problems.

  47. I’m using this cell for last 6 months…..i found this piece of no use…..not even good msg memory yaaaaar……FFFFFFFF SE……
    how could they even call this as multimedia handset……..it behave like a dumb fool……..whenever i send msg frm my cell…..network gets lost for 4-5 sec….n then 4 next 2-3 hrs….msg box remains blocked….n creates many dumb files of 16mb in file manager……….

    camera is waste n pics r vry unclear. n frm no angle it is a 2mega camera.
    message memory is vry low only 99messages.
    u cant see the call timing of ny of the calls individually xcept for the last cal u made.
    u cnt change the song using the headfone button.
    the fone has a vry big hanging issue. n i dnt think it can really support 1 gb card.
    n many a tymes fone stops reading my memory card den u hav 2 tak it out n put it back agn 2 mak it work.
    only looks n music is gud.
    so plz guys dnt buy dis fone.
    its a request coz it ll b ur waste of money…..
