Samsung Corby Pro Review
Samsung Corby Pro is cell phone most performant among those belonging to the family of Corby and its relatives. Compared to other models in the series, it is unique by the presence of a sliding QWERTY keyboard. 
Other technical features include HSDPA connectivity, a QVGA touchscreen display, 3-inch and 16 million colors, a 3-megapixel camera resolution, the media player with support for DivX, FM Radio, Bluetooth, Wi-connectivity fi, an internal memory of 100 MB expandable with microSD cards. It is an ideal phone for young people, ensuring rapid access to Facebook and MySpace.

Samsung Corby Pro features a 2.8 inch full touch screen display and slider QWERTY keyboard capacitive technology. Opening the keyboard slider, the display rotates automatically and through the setting “Quick Access”, is activated when composing messages. Samsung Corby Pro has been developed for those who want on their mobile phone advanced features such as email, chat and direct access to social networks such as Facebook, Twitter and MySpace.
Samsung Corby Pro leaves quite a big freedom to its users, that can change at will the order of icons in the menu screen and mount changeable color covers included in the sales package. Other features to speak of a 3 MP camera, connectivity, quadband, 3.5 mm audio jack and slot for microSD.
It is possible to buy the Samsung Corby Pro at a cost of 249 euros without a contract.

hey can anyone please tell me where i can buy those funky back covers for corby pro? i just got it and it’s really nice. though it could really use a flash for the camera but overall the phone is superb. it functions are superb as well. the speed is magnificent it never hanged on me not even once. this phone is a must buy for teens who love to be online while on the go.

Hi All,
I just got the phone a month back. Its features are pretty good but a bit slow. I was very happy with it until a week back when the speaker (regular) stopped working all of a sudden. I couldn’t hear the calls and had to use the hands-free or the speaker phone. As this had happened in less than a month, I placed complaint at Samsung, to which they redirected me to the nearest service-center. When I got there I was shocked to know that I was not the only one facing the problem. There was long list of people facing issues with their Samsung phones, the table in the service center was full with all the different corbys, a few of them were corby-pros. Upon investigation the engineer at the center informed me that mine was the third case with the similar problem, most of the others had problems with the batteries and that this was caused because of the sliding keyboard of the phone. I anyways got it fixed and it seems to be working fine now, but then again you never know what might happen.
I bought it from CROMA, Malad, Mumbai for 11,280/-.
I would suggest you guys to rethink before buying it.
I have put my case and thoughts in-front you all, the final decision is yours.

This phone is gr8 and has unique features WHICH most of the phones lack at this range of 11kRs. But i have heard that few people have complaints…i think it may be true but my corby pro never troubled me…
Corby Pro is one of the best phones of Samsung…

I’ve had this for a day. I agree a bit slow but i just got rid of a LG phone and it was definately a lot slower and broke twice. So i find this one not that bad. with all the features and smartunlock feature I absolutely love this phone. It has everything i want and more and it just takes getting use to.

had this phone for about 2months now and im satisfied with it. there are several additions id like to have like to be able to write hangul (korean) and get to add more themes, plus availability of fashion jackets. but overall, its an okay phone for its price.
i just have one problem, with the cartoon theme. the birds perched on the tree are always sleeping. cant find anything on the settings to change it.day or night theyre ZZZZzzzz. bothers me alot. hehe.

Hi All,
After I baught it, I could not use it for 10 days. Now when I first used it, it is getting hot with in 5min.
I baught in MobileStore, he says he can not do any thing about it. Service center guys says they can not replace it. They say replacement can be done with in 7 days only.
They said they changed the mother board… still same problem exist. I gave it to service center again…
Overall I had worst experience in buying this mobile. No one is there to feel the responsibility….

I havent had this phone yet but im getting it for my birthday (12th July). Ive read diff’rnt sites about this phone and its gr8. Tagateth has a problem but she fixed it…Im from Kenya and there u cant get a fake phone from a good shop…huh…anyway my question is what colors they come in…cant wait…7 days away

i bought this phone the first day it came out and i know a couple of people with the same phone as me …. we are all experiencing the same prolblems with the phone from not txting right off the start having to change settings. i feel the screen scratches really easy and the volume button broke and jamed. rate this phone 4 out of 10 easly….

@Darcy. ME TOO. i thought it was only me but after a while and after i went to rogers, it was magically fixed on my friend’s birthday so i dunno about you. and it is pretty heavy but i think it’s good. although the touch screen isn’t sensitive enough, i’m gonna have to say it’s a good phone to use. yeeaa… and the cases arn’t out yet. i tried Pacific Mall in Toronto and i couldn’t find one store that had one. it’s just too new! wait a month or two (or more, i dunno) and you could probably get one.

hi friends i purchased corby pro from ezone indiranagar bangalore. it was getting hot within 2 to 5 min of talk. luckily i went to service center after 5 days and they issued a DOA certificate, and i got a new mobile phone. it is working fine but after 15 days its del key is not working any more. i went again to service center but this time they refused to change it. they were asking for repairing it. they told its a user problem and very simple one. i didn’t give the phone for repair. bcoz i did not want to open a new phone. Finally i am using as such. If you do have any Solution for it.plz do tell me. Overall i am neither satisfied nor happy with this phone, and also the weight and sliding key pad creates problem while handling. go for some other slim models.

hey this phone isn’t what it looks we actually are unable to install any games and software into it another thing is the operating system which i think is developed by samsung only for samsung.then comes it’s
resistive touch which is both old and irresponsive often than the capacitive once we see now(which obviously is great) .the phone dosen’t have a single application on the internet.so most of you have to be dissapointed.so i suggest not going in for this one cause once you fall into this dirty pit made by samsung u might be happy for 1 or 2 days then comes the agony and greif which is everlasting and would haunt you till the phone is with u.

# 3G/HSDPA 900/2100 MHz – CAN’T USE SO NOT TESTED
# GPRS/EDGE/WAP – GPRS ALWAYS GIVES PROBLEM WHILE CONNECTING
# 2.8″ inch QVGA Touch Screen Display – WORST TOUCH SCREEN WHICH ANY PHONE HAS TILL DATE IN MARKET
# 3 Megapixel camera with Video Recording – WORST CAMERA, BAD THAN A 1 MP CAMERA
# Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g – WORKS ONCE IN 10 TIMES, MOST SUCKING PART OF THIS PHONE.
# A-GPS – NEVER WORKED TRIED ALL OPTIONS AVAILABLE ON NET
Just 4 months old phone, touch screen has gone bad, service center experience was horrifying. They took one month took my phone 3 times stil the issue is there.
At the service center 60% of the people were having CORBY probs.
SAMSUNG Corby is the worst phone in the market.
PLEASE DONT BUY IT.

i have corby pro & i’m totally satisfied with it, no problems, everything is working perfectly, i even have noki 5800, 5233 & 5130, but i find corby pro the best, if you keep your phone properly it will work properly if you wont then any phone would stop working & then you will start blaming the phone

believe me no phone is perfect except the ones without multimedi features, every phone has its own problem, this is my first samsung phone and i’m quite happy with it, earlier i had always used to buy nokia, if you look for problems you will always find one in any phone, my suggestion is use and keep your phone properly, read the manual properly, then it will certainly perform good

its an awesome phone. all features are working just fine..until on the 3rd week. it starts to shut down by itself and restart and shut down again. i got to the store where i bought it. they replaced the batteries and told me to move all my files from phone to the memory card then reset the phone to factory settings. they said when the phones memory got full it will have that problem.
another thing. how will that etiquette pause works???

ummm to be honest with u i love this phone
best phone there is has all what i need and more and the touch screen is a little sensitive so u will get used to it and the keyboard is amazing too

all those who say the fone is gud r correct. All those who say it sux or it is bad ARE ABSOLUTELY WRONG AND WRONG AND WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!! Another thing is this msg is being typed from a corby pro! My corby never gave me problems i donno abt the others. Remember to buy it from an authorized samsung dealer only.
