Nexus One Review

Google introduced yesterday their new touchscreen mobile phone, which uses their own operating system called Android.
Android operating system is open source and it is also used by other mobile phone producers. Motorola for example.

Here is our review of the new Nexus One phone.

Nexus One is GSM / UMTS based smartphone that has advanced features and Android operating system and 1 GHz processor. It has large 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen display with resolution of 480×800 pixels, accelerometer and proximity sensors, both RAM and ROM of 512 MB, expansion slots, 4 GB card included, HSDPA and HSUPA , connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and advanced features, integrated GPS, media player and FM radio.

Among the widgets will find one to show news and another to display the current time and position via GPS.

Another novelty is the incorporation of interactive animated wallpapers. Examples show the reflection of tree in lake, where we will see leaves fall to the water waves are or how we play the water to form these waves.

The application launcher has also been redesigned to facilitate access to these, as well as photo viewing system, which groups the photos depending on when they have been taken. you can also automatically upload them to Picasa.

Google launched today an online shop for your new phone sale. The phone will work in T-Mobile, Deutsche Telekom, Verizon and Vodafone mobile networks.

Google’s attempt illustrates its desire to grow their advertising sales on mobile phones. This market could grow from 1 billion to 3 billion dollars
by the year 2013.

The Google shop offers the phone currently only to people living in U.S., Singapore, Hong Kong and England, but it should become available to buy for other people in Europe very soon.
