The Nexus One was released on the 5th of January in 2010. The phone is sold through the Google website. According to the handy-faq.de Nexus One Test, this phones main benefit is that you can control it with only one hand instead using two hands like, when playing with iPhone.
The price for an unlocked Nexus One phone is $529 or $179 in case purchased with subscription with T-Mobile contract. Only two years plan is available – $ 79.99 per month rate, which gives you 500 minutes of talking time with unlimited nights and include weekends, unlimited SMS / MMS and web data. The $179 T-Mobile price is only for individuals currently under contract with T-Mobile. A good source for getting newest info about this phone from real people is the Nexus One Forum. Bear in mind that this forum is in German though.
If currently T-Mobile contract without data package, the price of the phone rises to $279.99. If the contract has both voice and data package, the price of the phone jumps to higher price, which is $ 379.99. By spring 2010, Verizon version will be available in the U.S. and Vodafone model in Europe, with plans to expand to other phone carriers and the international market due course.
Google is making the phone available for delivery to the United Kingdom, Singapore and Hong Kong, but indigenous carrier tie-ups are not completed for these countries, and the phone is shipped from the USA. Customers ordering from the United Kingdom have to pay $20 international shipping fee and an additional $19.99 for an optional AC adapter, with an additional 17.5% VAT and 6.5% import duties are added.
