I tried this phone for a 2 days and returned it. I have a Nokia 6085 and this phone (6350) is a step backwards. I use a bluetooth headset and the volume is not loud enough for me. Also went to program my ringtones to certain people and I got three messages that the file was too large. So I went back to my 6085 Nokia until Nokia can improve on it. Nokia needs to make a outer surface on the flip phone similiar to the Motorola Tundra. Something that doesn’t show scratches easily.
We received this phones as a replacement / upgrade from our RAZR V3. The phone is well designed, and easy to use. However, the volume of ring tones, speaker, and even headset are too low. I contacted the manufacturer, and spoke with their leve 2 tech support. I was told that there is NO way to change this. When asked if there was something I could do equivalent to SEEM edits that I had done on the V3, they said no. In fact, their tech suggested that if I did not like the phone, to return it and find a motorola!
The phone is well constructed, slim and light, easy to slip into a pocket. The screen display is excellent, the key board is quite good. That’s the good. The phone has problems. Blued tooth is intermittent. Speaker volume is too low, difficult to select speakerphone. Menus are very disorganized and require many steps to get things done. Several of the applications are unusable because the programming is so poor.
Maybe, if they fix the programming, but I sure couldn’t recommend this phone now.
I traded in my blackberry curve for something more useful out and about. So far, I like it alot. Volume is a bit low, but better than my blackberry ever was AND gets better signal. The only thing I don’t like is the lack of ability to program the backlight so it stays on longer. Other than that – it is hard to be all picky over a $29 phone. It is very functional and unless your a gadget nutcase, I would recommend this phone to anyone.
I got one of these phones in Oct. Two weeks after using it, I couldn’t hear any incoming calls. It was swapped for another one. Now, 7 months later I am only able to hear phone calls or make calls while on the speaker phone function. Piece of junk. Do not recommend this phone to anyone. It looks as though I am stuck with it for another year and half until I’m up for a new contract. I hope it’s not too frustrating for everyone around to hear my whole conversation. 🙁
I have had this phone for 1 week. There is a high pitched squeal 90% of the time and it is affecting my hearing. Changing the sim card did not help.. I am returning it tomorrow.
I love the phone but have problems with re-charging with my std travel, car & usb chargers. Seems like an inner connectvity.
Bringing it in to Bell Mobility for repairs since it is still warranteed.
Hi there,
I just got this phone and I’m using it also as a mp3 player. But the volume is very high for headphones or speaker.
Does anyone has the same problem ?
Do you know how to reduce the volume ?
Thanks
The outside display turns off so you can’t check the time and date without opening it, or pressing a button. There doesn’t appear to be any options to adjust the backlight. There are quite a few external buttons that can accidentally get pressed if the phone is in your pocket. My basic Nokia from four years ago was more functional than this phone.
My wife tried this phone with upgrade and it dropped the calls and locked up. So we got another phone and this one keys locked up dont think this phone is any good looks like other people have problem also.
It seems to be ok. I guess the thing I don’t like is the backlight is short lived and the time and date aren’t available unless the phone is open. And my text predictions keeps turning itself off. I guess you get what you pay for.
This phone is junk. The speaker phone is so distorted that I cannot listen to it. After having for 1 week the phone now cuts off intermittently. Company phone so they are sending me another one. I had a 3 year old Nokia that started loosing signal for no apparent reason at my home so my company replaced with this. I would not pay a dime for this phone.
It’s a great for my purposes. No complaints at this time. I have the phone for about two months.
I’ve only had this phone for about a week and my camera has stopped working. It worked before but I tried it yesterday and it said NOT ALLOWED. Does anyone know how this happened or how to fix it? please please please if you do let me know at kitkatbrit1@sbcglobal.net. I’m so frustrated.
Had this phone for a while……
Pros……..features are good
Cons, Paint is cheap as poop (s***) , my fingernails seem to scratch the paint when I check the time and mail messages, plus answering incoming calls, thinking to let the paint peel 100% COMPLETELY off then color it red with a magic marker or leave it as is (silver)
I’ve had this phone for 3 months. I guess you get what you pay for ($20), with 2 yr contract. It’s just a phone with too many issues to list & Nokia needs to resolve.
Ive had this phone for over a year now. I’m rather rough with my phones and this one has held up very well. Once you get used to it texting is easy and call quality is pretty good. I leave my phone on vibrate most of the time but the volume is rather low. This phone does show scratches rather easy. My phone looks rough but the preformance has not been affected one bit. Had to get a new charger for it but thats nothing big. Not alot of features but it has all the basic that i need. I use the internet on this phone daily, text all the time, and call every night so it has held up well. Its not an iphone but for the price, if your looking for a cheap reliable phone, I would reccomend this one!
I got this phone through my company, and it got a little wet one day, hasnt worked since, and the company is telling me I need to replace it or pay $200 to have it repaired. Any ideas? I have never had this type of a cell phone before, the instruction manaul is useless and my samsung which is 3 years old works great.
Nokia 6350 = bad phone. poor battery, must be a bad batch of these because the replacement is doing the same thing. Its battery dies within 8 hours after a full charge.
Short this stock is my advice.
Got this as a referbished replacement for an LG CU515 which worked very well for over 2 years They apparently didn’t refurbish it very well at all.-I have had this phone for only a few days and have had nothing but problems with it. Charged it over night but battery still runs out in no time flat. Hail Satan must have been one of the fortunate few that got one of these that actually works. Mine cuts out before you can complete a call or get messages. By my experience it’s the biggest piece of crap in crap town. defies the laws of physics by both sucking and blowing at the same time. I’m going to send it back and ask for a different model.
Purchaed my phone originally as a replacment for one I dropped in water. Did not know it would be the worst decision to go get it replaced at the same company. Agent gave me what was consider to be the only one availiabel at the time. Little did I know it was filled with so many problems. (and discontinued) First, every time i pressed the #7 key it would shut off, #2 Whenever I received a voice mail, the phone would not show the incomming number (so if a person did not leave there number, I was out of luck), #3 I have never had so many dropped called, #4 The phone would shut off on occaision when I pressed the “1” key, now imagine this, you are trying to get your messages and press #1 key and “blink” the screen goes black. So frustrating!!!! #5 the phone just went dead “i.e “No service”. I checked my online account to verify that payment was received, and confirmed payment. Phone was still dead. So now I am off to the old 1 – 800 &#%@*!%#…… Land! Where God knows how long I will have to wait on a phone for a real person to answer. One thing is for sure, I probably want be using this DEAD NOKIA 6350 (BLACK) phone. You know the really depressing thing about it is this! When you are expecting a call because your mother is in the Hospital, and you receive a call and try to obtain your message and the phone goes dead, and you can’t even figure out who called and left the mesage, and you know for sure that the company really dont give a damm about you are your phone, just the payment…………………

Worst piece of crap ever in a cell phone. Immediately, had to have repaired, but ATT just put new insides in case. The case started flaking off paint. ATT just replaced the front cover – didn’t have a back cover. Over the past year, it has continued to flake, and the trim pieces have broken off. Never dropped it, never put in pocket with keys or anything sharp. It looks like it has been run through a disposal. I have a Samsung Solstice that is 2.5 years old, and it looks brand new.
