BlackBerry producer RIM updated messaging service of their smartphones .
They added the functionality of the group and remote backup.
Users of BlackBerry Messenger will now be able use new version of BlackBerry Messenger, the software that allows you to chat, send and receive pictures and voice messages with other BlackBerry smartphone users .
Research In Motion has added several useful features in this release. Among these, the Groups feature that allows you to share content – images, video, file (now even larger than 6 megabytes) and appointments on the calendar – and messages with groups of contacts. The icon of each group can be positioned on the desktop of the handset.
Another new feature: the ability to add contacts by reading two-dimensional bar codes with the camera of the handset. It is also now possible to customize your avatar and your profile, which will be automatically displayed in the contacts.
Finally, there is now the function of remote backup, to save contacts, groups and settings of the BlackBerry Messenger.
The new software, free, is compatible with BlackBerry models that adopt the system software 4.5 and later (to find your version go to Options and then click the “About”). You can download it from the BlackBerry AppWorld, or by going with your phone’s browser at the Internet address http://mobile.blackberry.com.
