  1. My girlfriend got this from US Cellular in the absence of any user reviews because the Crush was so new. Living in Chicago, we really, really want Motorola to succeed. Alas, this is right up there with when they started handing out free Razr’s: Motorola is coming to an end. This phone is awful. Between my girlfriend and another friend of hers, both took the phone back AND upon returning them, heard ‘yeah we see a lot of that’ from the tech department (the sales people somehow are oblivious to how bad this phone is). Within a day of getting the phone, despite being locked and sitting in her pursue, it would spontaneously start dialing people. After a call, it would sometimes (not consistently) require numerous strokes to get it to hang up and lock (maybe it just craves affection?). Then, believe it or not, it actually can generate a BSOD (blue screen of death) with http type coding all over it. Maybe we had a bad one, but is it coincidence that her friend at work had all the same problems? We’ve both used motorola’s for years with great luck, until she got stuck with the most recent Razr where they moved the text buttons to coincide with different numbers. Now she’s using LG, which sucks considering I have PhoneTools for motorola. On the other hand, LG does not require any software to interfacet with their phone. In a nutshell, stay away from the Crush.

  2. This phone is getting returned immediately. I constantly hang up on people just because my cheek his the screen. Sometimes I have to hit the application more than 3 times before it opens what I want. Too bad you can’t change how sensitive the screen is.

  3. I have returned this phone twice now. I will do it again and go with something else. I love motorola but this phone is the worst i’ve seen yet there are major software problems with this phone and people at the store said get rid of it as fast as you can.

  5. your nubs. i have it and when your in a call the screen automaticly locks when it is verticle [held against ur ear] when u set it down it will turn on again. the touch screen got no problems for me. it can play youtube video which is good. i can check email. it never locks up. i think some ppl are mental or they fixed the phones by now. or they lieing! ah well, all the problems they say isnt true. u should get one.

  6. Bought this phone for my Hubby and I for Christmas…one of the worst gifts I’ve ever given! We are both taking them back tomorrow. Push one button and 4 others light up. Try to make a call and you wind up navagating, texting and finally playing pac-man. What a disaster for a phone… :>(

  7. this phone is awful. It freezes constantly, sometimes for a couple seconds other times permanently. Sometimes it also takes several times of hitting a key before it works. I would not recommend this phone to anyone.

  8. when reading messages in your inbox/outbox, does it show the past conversations message by message, or do you have to view conversations by going back and forth, back and forth in your inbox/outbox? Can you view all your past conversations with a specific contact?

  9. i have this phone i like it but it has alot of bad things like when im talkin and i touch my ear on it it will end the call but now evreytime i call anyone i hit lock and it wont hand up also when i want to go to my pics or something on my menu most of the time i end up going somewhere i didnt want to go but i like it its my 4th phone and i have to say its my favorite i love the touch screen but sometimes it is aggrvating

  10. This is a pretty nice afordable touch screen phone. Keep in mind that the screen is moisture sensing so make sure you wipe the screen off when you done making a call also make sure you fingers are dry. the browser is good the keyboard is decent and the call quality is pretty clear. The only complaint i have is the lack of threaded messaging and ability to run the music player in the background.

I had da motorola krazer before n it was way better.. phone starts to freeze, people would call me n i wasnt able to hear them but dey could hear me… Im takin it back tomorrow.. stay away from this phone!! Y cant us cellular have nice phones?????

  13. This is the WORST PHONE I have ever had. The phone hangs up on people, dials on its own, has a horrible blue tooth tx/rx, it drops calls all the time, the speaker squeals and hangs up when you unlock it. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!! DONT EVEN TAKE ON IF IT FREE !!!!!

  15. This phone is not the best. Since the touch screen is moisture sensored, whenever your fingers are hot or sweaty, the phone freaks out and presses a whole bunch of random buttons. And when your fingers are cold, none of the buttons will work. It’s annoying constantly having to wait for it to adjust. Also recently, when I got to type in my password for my voicemail, the screen stays black, and Im not able to do it. This phone gets on my last nerve and I hate it! Im considering just going back to my old flip phone… Do not buy!

  17. This is the worst phone ever! I would not recommend it to anyone! My Crush was working for the first few months, but now the touchscreen barely works. One section in particular, doesn’t even respond to any touch. When I’m texting, I can’t press E,D,X,123key, anything in that area. I have to switch from full keyboard to T9 text in order to write a full message. Because one section of the screen doesn’t work, when i want to respond to a text, I can’t click “Text Message”. Instead, it just goes to “Picture Message” without me clicking it. So basically, I have to respond with picture messages with no pictures to everybody.
    So if you’re thinking of getting this phone, DON’T GET IT! IT IS THE WORST PIECE OF CRAP I’VE EVER SPENT MONEY ON IN MY LIFE!

  19. This phone is terrible. I have had the phone for about six months now and it sucks. The only positive things I can say about this phone is that it gets really good reception and the pictures it takes are ok. The cons: freezes and shuts off, keyboard stops receieving touch signals then spits out 25 characters afetr you sit and wait 15 seconds, phone will not work in cold weather or warm weather, if u press clear to erase characters on a text the entire message clears one letter at a time and there is nothing u can do to stop it but wait until it is done and retype the entire message!! the phone is cheap. you cant put music on it without a memory card. dont buy this phone, its looks pretty cool and sounds good with the whole touch screen sales pitch but the phone is mentally retarded, it needs way more than a software update.

  20. i have this phone. the only problem i ever had with it is that it has a very sensetive screen. but you get over it after a couple weeks. i havent had any problems and ive had it for 5 months. the screen locks when ur on the phone automatically so you dont have to worry about accidentilly hanging up the phone. i love it. stop complaining about stupid problems that ever touch phone has. its a great phone. you should get one.

  22. i got this phone yesterday , and i am 16. i think that it is a really good phone for the most part. the only complaint i have .. is that it doesn’t have threaded messaginggg … that is kind of a bummer … but , the touch screen works very well , and hasn’t caused me any problems at all so far . i really like ittt (: , and i think i intend on keeping it (:

Well i am getting the phone from US Cellular.. and I hear it works great… but some ppl say its the worst phone ever…. and i wanted the phone from the second i saw it… and i can text really good on the touch screen… and i have had the LG Vu, it was from AT&T and i had to get a new sim card cuz i erased the sim card on the phone… but i switched to US Cellular… 🙂

  24. I got this phone for my boyfriend a few weeks ago. Well he got it home and it was all fine until a few days later when he tried calling someone and he couldnt hear anything unless it was on speaker phone. so that sucked and we returned it and got the same thing and he had it for 2 days and it has the blue screen of death…all togther he has had his phones 3 weeks and he is on a prepaid plan so the month is going to laps before he gets it back from repair! he didnt even really get to use it! this phone is the biggest POS EVER!!!! I hate it with a passion and the name fits it cuz i want to CRUSH it under my truck tires and throw it through the window of the motorola office!!! I do NOT recommend anyone to buy this junk cell phone. Go with the LG Bliss or something like that…

    cant look at my pics from my sd card
    volume sucks
    it has the blue light of death
    it gets seizures and press buttons randomly
    touch screen is choppy
    the unlock bar wont unlock
    gets heart attacks half & the screen wont work
    when u txt and get a call the phone goes crazy
    cant remove pacman & navigator from main menu

    worst phone ever do not buy it

    the touch screen doesnt respond
    it doesnt bring up the keypad when u call ur voicmail
    it is urealiable
    terrible phone
    the vibration wears out quickly

  27. They named it right after 7 Months 3 phones im going to crush it.Losing my money on it.but going back to my old phone. But at least it works. couldn’t even get a new crush out of the box to work and it was my third phone.

  28. I’ve had this phone for a while and I haven’t experienced hardly any of the problems described here. Key response time and the screen’s moisture sensitivity are really the only issues that I’ve found, and so far they’ve been minor with some getting used to the phone. It’s been in use for almost 6 months now and I think it’s great for what it it offers. It’s not an iPhone or a droid and doesn’t claim to be! It also doesn’t cost $300+ to buy it either…. Just saying-

  30. Uhhmm.. I was going to get the LG Bliss, but my dad said that the internet is too much or something? So I am probably getting the Motorola Crush.. I want a full touchscreen with no buttons. Not including the few back, send, and/or end call buttons, of corse..
    I am loooking through reveiws and now I am pretty sceptical about this phone.. /:

  31. DO NOT GET THE MOTOROLA CRUSH!!!! I absolutely hate it. I remember I had to take it back after having for a couple days & now it’s been four months & last night some of the touch buttons just STOPPED working! I can’t click text message, whenever I try to, it goes to picture message so I have to respond in picture messages! So annoying. I do not like this phone AT ALL. I am definitely returning it to get a new one. DON’T BELIEVE WHAT THE PEOPLE AT THE STORE TELL YOU. They told me they never had someone bring it back with problems before. BULL CRAP! Too many problems to list!!!

    I have had a cell phone since the 80’s. This is the worst piece of junk I have ever owned.
    I have ask US Cellular several times if there is a recall because I am stuck with this junk for 2 years. I am looking for a way out.
    I have talked with numerous employees that have told me they have not had any complaints on these phones.
    LIARS!!
    Due to this junk, lies, and lack of customer service from US Cellular, I will be changing companies at my 1st opportunity.
    I have been with them for over 6 years, but no more.

  37. This phone is NOOO good!!!!! I have it in for repairs now! They gave me the exact same phn for a loaner and it started the same stuff! Then i went into the store today to swap that loaner for another Crush and IT WAS DOING THE same THINGS!!! The screen would go black in calls and wouldnt pop up for me to push buttons, the touchscreen was a mess, i had to hit the end call button NUMEROus times for it to hang up, and had to constantly wipe the screen and even then it wouldnt work right. NO GOOD!!!

  39. I’ve had this phone since last November and was frustrated with it at first but thought I would eventually get used to it. Nope. Not at all. Easily the most annoying phone I’ve ever had.

  48. I agree with everyone else. This phone is horrible, whenever it starts going crazy when trying to text, I just slam it against the ground to make it work again(sadly it works). That is how much I hate this phone. I will be happy when I actually bust it and im forced to buy a new phone.

  49. I bought this phone a while ago, thinking that it was a good deal for a touch-screen phone. That day, i had to return it because it wouldn’t let me dial calls. I got a new one of the same kind, but after a while, a section of the touch screen stopped working- unfortunately, it was the section that covered the e,d,new text message, and top inbox message buttons. The only way I could get it to work again was by rapidly hitting unlock and lock button while slapping the screen violently. I was eventually persuaded to take the phone back, and got yet another one. I thought it worked great, but then it turned out to have the same exact problem, except this time with the h, b, tools, and picture keys!

    never buying mororola again.
