This new smartphone by HTC named Tattoo is running on Google Android Operating System.HTC Tattoo

It will be the first Android-based device with 2.8-inch QVGA (240 by 320 pixel) resistive touchscreen. Previous ones have all used HVGA capacitive displays.

HTC Tattoo is 3G phone with 2.8-inch touchscreen, 3.2 megapixel camera, digital compass, FM radio, audio input 3.5 mm and slot for MicroSD cards to expand storage to 512MB integrated. For connectivity, the handset integrates WiFi and Bluetooth.

The 108-gram handheld measuring 106×55, 2x14mm and is using 1100mAh Li-ion battery powered. This battery is good according to HTC for total time of 5.7 hours and standby time of two weeks.

HTC Tattoo price will be around 349 euros for the European market.

This mobile phone will be officially available from the beginning of October.

HTC Tattoo software includes widgets for Google services (Maps, Search, Mail, YouTube) and Android Market, plus the social network Twitter, Facebook and Flickr. Through Tattoo albums can also be accessed online to albums loaded on the latter two sites.

  2. The HTC Tattoo is supposed to be the HTC budget phone and will therefor NOT cost around 349 euros for the European market.
    If it will, it’s not worth buying, because you can buy the better HTC Hero for that price.
