Why does my blackberry cellphone say OFF on the upper left hand corner?

it says off because that is the button u turn it off w/ or u r supposed to take it off either one idk
It says off because you are not connected to a network. Try to go to your service provider and see if they can help.
My phone did the same thing to me!
Go to your Full Menu Click on the “Manage Connections” icon Click on the first message that says “Turn All Connections On” this will turn your phone back on, you will see “Mobile Network” and “Bluetooth” now activated and your bars will return =)
**edit** Click on “Restore Connections” (instead of “Turn All Connections On”)

You are great. This is the 3rd forum I have been on and rather than answering the question other idiots post ‘yeah this happened to me too why does it do this’.
I don’t come to these forums to hear straw polls. You actually provided a constructive answer. I did what you said and it worked. I have no ‘internal damage’ to my phone. I don’t need to buy a new one. All I needed was someone to point me in the right direction. Thank you thank you thank you!
