This phone is junk. Its been three days and the internal screen doesnt turn on. Also the tiny hold button that must be pushed isnt very userfriendly as no one other than someone who ones the phone would know to look on the side. The real question no is how hard will it be get money back for this garbage.

i just got this phone! i love it
calling, messaging, and manuevering with the phone is so easy
the phone works GREAT and you have the touch on the front which is really cool and the inside which is great
the outside never turns on when in your pocket because it locks and is only touch activated
overall this is the best phone i’vve ever had

For those of you who want a phone to be a phone first with a few extras then this is a nice phone. However, I cannot recommend this phone until Pantech (1-800-962-8622) corrects the mistake that they have made in advertising this phone. Their web site (http://www.pantechusa.com/phones/impact) as well as every other web site advertising this phone including AT&T’s say’s that this phone has “Speaker-Independent Voice Commands”. IT DOES NOT HAVE THIS FEATURE. If you are like me and need true hands free system that can be used with Bluetooth or even the speaker phone this is not the phone. AT&T’s solution to this problem was to add their “Voice Dial” to my account and graciously charge me $4.99 each month to dial *8, press talk, listen to prompt, say who I want to call, listen to some more prompts. But first I have to set up a separate contact list (limit of 20) on their web site because it does not use the contact list that you set up on your phone. This is not hands free, you can dial the number faster than you can go through this process.
If you have already purchased this phone please call Pantech and insist that they give us a software update or recall this phone. AT&T should pull it from their line until the problem is fixed. I believe that false advertisement is against the law. Even if you haven’t purchased the phone still call… Don’t let Pantech and AT&T get by with this or it will only get worse.
Now for the phone itself, I really like this phone. I waited an additional two years before upgrading my phone from a Razr. So for four years the only way that I could talk was to use the speakerphone or Bluetooth because the ear piece was rotten. Call quality on this phone is excellent. It is almost like talking on a landline. With it having two stereo speakers the speakerphone is also excellent (phone has to be open to work). For you music lovers it does not have a headphone jack, you will have to use Bluetooth or an adaptor (I thought a headphone jack was standard anymore). It is a little heaver than the Razr but it fits nicely in the hand and pocket. The front of the phone has a small window and a key pad below. The numbers are easy to see and well spaced. They do have haptic feedback when pressed and you can adjust the sensitivity level and vibration strength of the keys. It does take a little bit of getting use to but it is really not too bad. You will need to get the protective film for this phone and I would also recommend a protective cover. They make a clear one.
You can enter 1,000 contacts with and with each contact you can enter 5 numbers, 2 e-mails, address, web URL and a memo if you save to phone. If you save to sim it is only 3 numbers and 1 e-mail. You can also group your contact and add a photo ID which will not show up on the front of the phone. The alarm which I find myself using for 5 min. cleanup warning in the classroom and for meds is quite loud and you can set it to repeat. You can choose from different ring tones and a single time, daily or weekend modes. The calendar works a lot like MS outlook calendar, nice. This phone also has a notepad, a voice memo recorder, a world clock, a calculator, a tip calculator, a unit converter, a stop watch, and a timer. There are 8 speed dial numbers. Remember this is not a smart phone but it is packed with organizational features. Another nice feature is that you can increase the font size and have two different font styles to pick from. This makes the phone very easy to read.
I did not purchase the phone for the camera so I will let some else speak to that. I did try it out thou and the phone has to be flipped opened to take the picture. The web interface is nice and comes up quickly and I did not experience any lag time during browsing. The screen however is a little small. But here again, I did not buy the phone for web browsing and will cancel that feature before my 30 days are up. I am not a big texter but I did find the key board easy to use. I like the toggle button better than the arrow keys even if it does take a little more room (personal taste).
If you do want to purchase the data package you can also watch TV clips or full length shows. I have it free for 30 days so I tried it out. I was very impressed; however the phone did get warm after 40 min. of use and took quite a while to cool down. I am not sure that the heat generated by this feature is good and on the thin circuit boards in these phones. I would not recommend using this feature very often not to mention the damage it is doing to your eyes. Just a thought.
I have been on the Phone with Pantech and AT&T since the 16th and the “Speaker-Independent Voice Commands” issue has not been resolved. I have talked to several people at Pantech all of which promised to call me back. I am still waiting!!! As you can tell from above I like the phone, but I want was advertised which is one of the reasons that I purchased the phone. Please help me to convince Pantech and AT&T to fix this problem and call Pantech at (1-800-962-8622).
Update, just got off the phone with Alex at Pantech and the official line is that is was a mistake on the part of the advertisers or that perhaps AT&T remove this feature during the beta testing. The bottom line is that there probably will not be an update for this phone in the near future if ever. My phone is going back and I will start the process again of trying to find a phone with voice clarity, speed dial, Speaker-Independent Voice Commands, and the productivity features that I have come to expect on a phone. Any suggestions?

If you make your own music or like to manually add your own music to this phone. you will be frustrated to no end, it does not have a computer software to advance that feature…and it doesnt come with a computer usb plug-in wire like some phones. Even if you can somehow get a micro SD card adapter and somehow transfer music onto it, you are required to have internet to purchase music from At&t? this is a pretty-crappy phone. 2/5 stars.

Disappointed that ringer “profiles” cannot be different for incoming calls vs incoming text messages. Also, “Messaging” does not have a “Inbox” option. There is a “conversation” option that contains in & outbound – what’s up with that? A operating system bug?

is also a false statement. It isnt rocket science. You push it to lock, touch it to unlock. If thats not “user-friendly” enough, then stick to tracphones..
This phone is a new style and it is really innovative. Very well done ATT. Everyone planning to get this phone, I highly recommend it..

Have the phone. Love the phone. It replaced a LG Neon. I don’t like smart phones. I just need a good phone. This is a great phone. I text 50+ messages a day. This rocks for that. I take pics and send them to pbucket. It rocks for that. I walk around with 10gb of crap at all times. It recognises my 16gb microSD card. I used the speakerphone a lot. The Speakerphone on this phone is outstanding. Solid construction. great looks. Great friggin phone.

My phone stops sending texts for no apparent reason and I have to turn it off and on to get it to send. I exchanged it and my new one is doing the same thing. It does it numerous times a day and it is not because the messages are full. Does anyone else have this problem?

This phone is outstanding, considering its coming from a nobody company. think about this folks. this phone costs as much as the iPhone did when it started. if you use the phone for a phone, the battery life is good for about 5 days.
using the music player, you get a few hours out of it D; it does have voice recording, as well as phone call recording. i thought that was a cool feature. i love this phone.

Ok… so I am really leaning towards getting this phone. I know you can set different ring tones for different people but, will the ringtone I set be their text message tone also?? Or is it going to be one of the tones they have already on the phone?? Can I get a song to play at all for a text message? It would be very helpfull if I could figure this out. Thanks.

I just bought this phone today after returning another phone that had no memory after taking 4 pictures, which is ridiculous!!! I like how this phone looks and it is working so far except for two things.
I am unable to access facebook, which is one feature that I did ask about and the salesperson told me does have that, but whenever I log in and attempt to do things on it, it always goes back to the log in screen.
The second thing I am trying to access is Mobile Email and as long as I have the Data Plan, it should work and has worked on all my previous phones, yet this phone is asking for another $5.00 a month to use it. WTF!!! I hope the salesperson I talk to when I go back today knows how to get it working or I will be returning this phone to because those are two features that I use alot since I am not home that much due to work. Let me know if anybody has those two problems.

I have this phone and i love it. its one of the best phones i have ever had. for those who were wondering you CAN set a song to play for text messages. you dont have to use one of the phones ringtones. I think its easy to use and is really a good phone. i would definately recommend it.

I have an lg xenon, which holds about 160ish, idr. I’m thinking about getting this phone soon, but if it can’t store a lot of texts..then that might sway my decision.

It’s a good phone but has plenty of quirks–bad ones.
The most annoying part is that there’s no lock option when you’re on a call so if you’re holding the phone, you’ll start to press buttons if you’re not careful.
It automatically locks but I’ve experimented with it and for some reason, it will become ‘unlocked’ since it will light up.
This is the most problematic for me since I make plenty of calls and end up ‘pressing’ on the touch-sensitive buttons and that is surely bothersome for the other person on the other line.
Other than that, the camera won’t work unless you open the phone and speaker only works when you open it, again.
My definite gripe is the lack of option in locking that sensitive front.

actually, i’m having the same problem
i just upgraded to a pantech impact a few days ago, and so far i really like it. EXCEPT when it comes to hanging up. it seems that whenever i’m on a call the touchpad becomes unresponsive, and when i’m done and try to hit the “end call” button, nothing happens. in fact, none of the “buttons” work after a call, even if i press the “hold” button on the side of the phone in attempt to unlock the touchpad. i actually have to open and close the clamshell to be able to do anything on the front keypad at all.
so basically, i have no way of ending call unless the other person hangs up or i open and close the clamshell, then press the end call button. it’s pretty frustrating actually, so i was just wondering if i’m doing something wrong, if there’s a setting i should change, or if my phone is defective? thanks so much for any help.

I really like this phone! As far as I have seen, you cannot have a signature unless you put it as a template and enter it in every time. But you can have different message and ringtones and they can both have different volumes and vibrate/ring whatever. Just go to profiles and select one then click on edit and you will see the menu. Easy to work and very pretty
only problem I have with it is the whole the phone has to be open when you take a pic, but thats just cus I’m clumsy lol

It really amazes me that people start complaining what the phone has and doesn’t have before they learn how to use their phone.
I have one of the blue ones and am still learning things about it. The instruction book is extremely vague so I have to hunt for forums on the internet to learn the full capabilities of my new phone. By doing this I have learned many new features to utilize on my phone that I was completely unaware of.
BTW I love the phone.

Alright, im back
Well Thank you i guess youcan call the thousands of people when you have the pantech imshit. I figured out this phone is REALLY GaY. I even went to the stoer they go, oh sorry. They call part is unstoppable and unchangeable. Then sometimes when you send a message, it will stay in the outbox and keep ‘sending’ until you restart the phone. It doesnt affect any messages it just is annoying. I dropped it down the stairs by accident, it broke. So now I have a new impact bitches.(:

the phone itself is okay. but there is one very irritating feature that it has.
the texts are set up in conversation mode. texts cannot be stored individually in an inbox which drives me INSANE.
no texts can be saved..you have to clear everything at once. hate it.
also, is there a way to delete the default numbers saved in contacts? like the at&t help numbers??? probably a stupid question. but..that is also irritating.

I love the qwerty keyboard and internal screen on this phone, but also have similar problems mentioned here with the external touch keypad. On some occassions, it “dials” without touching it and it also seems to freeze up when I’m trying to end a call…I took it back to the store and since they couldn’t re-create the problem, they said I must have been doing something wrong. Excuse me, but I’m 53 years old..I think I know how to use a phone. As this is a new phone, I think the hype will die down and people will see how many problems there are with this external keypad. I wouldn’t recommend this phone.

I have the same problem with trying to end call. Plus, not only does the camera suck but you also have to open the phone to use it. And the lense is in a clearly terrible location! The impact looks cool but other than that….I hate it.

This phone is really good, the first month was great but then my text messages stopped sending. Every couple of texts I am forced to turn off my phone and restart it all over again because my messages fail. I’m not sure what to do, but I love this phone <3 I just wish they would send

you need to hold your end button dont press it fast it isnt sensative you would complain if it was ha ha ha oh and yeah the bad things are you cant turn music into ringtones

I got this phone december 23rd, and by december 24th I hated it.
It has quirky bugs like others have mentioned such as you sometimes can’t hang up when you’re done with a call.
Other times it will spontaneously make phone calls to the first number in my phonebook (which happens to be google’s free 411 service)
sometimes it will open a text message, and when you touch the end button on the front it will say “Busy, Waiting”
In order to get out of whatever it’s doing by itself, you must open the clamshell and press the end button inside.
Did I mention that I hate this phone?
The “full html” browser fubars web pages beyond belief.
If you use the included app for checking your email, ATT screws you for 4.99 a month per email addy.
The only way to get music is to download from ATT, what does this thing have an expansion slot for again?
DON’T BUY THIS PHONE!!!!

I got my daughter this phone and she loves it. No problems. Gets a great signal. I think this is a perfect texting phone for early teens. The older crowd might want something a little more advanced.

Okay, I’ve owned both Pantech Duo, and Pantech Impact, tho I have the Impact now I love it 100 times more then the duo. You can’t save messages, and you can’t delete a whole conversation and just save a few without having to delete one at a time. Those are the only down sides, other than that, it’s an amazing phone.

I got this phone about 4 days ago, well all is right when it comes to hanging up from a call – doesn’t work like it should. But my most frustration comes from the alert tones, I can’t change them – it only offers to make them into ringtones not alert tones. And yes I’m on the right application so don’t go there. I also can’t seen to find the volume for the alert messages, very loud and not OK. Does anyone know how to turn that down, I got my ringer turned down but not alert tones.

I bought this phone when it first came out. I loved it at first, but if you are a texter, you will hate it. It doesn’t store very many texts at a time, if you get a lot of them, it will start to lock up all the time. Also the ending of the calls on the front keypad is a problem because it locks after so many minutes of not being touched and you can’t unlock it because you are on a call. I turned the phone back in and got a Samsung flight…I like it much better.

Okay, I just got my Impact yesterday and It doesnt let me delete my inbox even when I turn the phone off and on. That’s a bitch. Help? And Is there a little light on the front screen that I can turn on that will flash when i get a new Text or Call?

I HATE THIS PHONE!!! when i first got it, the speakers did not work and the person on the other end of the call could not hear what i was saying. so i took it back and exchanged it for a new one. then, i started noticing the hanging-up problem that others mentioned which is irritating, and when the phone locks up when you get too many texts. now, the internal light on the phone does not respond when i open the device even when i press a button to try and get it to light up. i then took the battery out and pur it back in, and the light STILL did not respond. do not buy this phone. i hate it. its a piece of junk and i want my money back!!!

I can’t stand the lame ringtones and put a couple ringtones on the phone via Bluetooth. YOU CANNOT set your own ringtones, That really Sucks!!! No, you cannot hit “Set Ringtone” it is grayed out. The file will not go to the ringtone list, only to audio….useless.

ok so to choose a ringtone, you have to go to the settings, profile, edit the profile u want the ringtne to be on, then you can pull up ur music and choose ur desired ringtone

Well I bought this phone when it first came out as a replacement of my Samsung Propel. It is an okay phone with pros and cons…
pros: it has good battery life, cute
, good call quality, camera is pretty good, and YOU CAN PERSONALIZE YOUR RINGTONES PEOPLE. All you have to do is go to MENU, SETTINGS, PROFILES, and then you click EDIT. It’s not that hard to figure out. But anyways, on to the cons…
cons: I have not been able to set a signature, lock individual applications, sometimes it is hard to end a call on the touch screen, and on my phone, sometimes when I open it the internal screen has a huge delay in turning on. It takes like 5 secs longer than normal.
overall, it is a pretty good phone. I like it much better than my Propel and I would reccomend it to people as long as they are not really into details. Hope this review helped.

Piece of garbage. Have to open phone to hang up calls, because front of the phone becomes unresponsive… frustrating. Turns off all by itself, with full battery. On my third one still having issues and ATT is no help. Don’t recommend this phone unless you enjoy being frustrated.

I’ve had this phone for 2 weeks and found people can hear me talking even after I’ve hung up with them. She claims it won’t hang up on her side but I know she’s messing with me, so, I took the battery out and the SIM card and I could still hear her, VERY faintly. and the phone still vibrates. Anyone else had this problem?

i just got this phone today. it is okay but the camera button is on the inside and when ur trying to take a picture ur finger gets in the way. but the buttons are big and good for texting and over all its a great phone. oh and there is no signature.
and does anyone know what the 2 little things are on the front top left hand corner of the phone. it looks like it could be a light but att people didnt even know what it was.

This is my second Impact in 2 weeks (first one’s back kept falling off and it kept changing my ringtones). I’ll probably keep it because of the low price and because I have concerns with texting and security on the iPhone, which I had considered. Now – can anyone tell me how to get e-mail alerts? I’ve read the manual and even called Pantech (they’ll get back to me – hah!)

I have the pantech impact. The phone is ok but my problem is that the opening on the back where the battery is will not close so I have to keep it in the hard shell cover. Took it to AT&T and was told I would have to call the warrenty center. Also randomly the phone will stick when making a call and when the call goes through it will hang up and then it shows “checking sim”. Did put a new sim card in only to have it do the same thing again. Has anyone else had this problem??

I have this phone and while i do love it, it did take me a while to figure it out as compared to my previous phones. and i totaly agree wit loren about the hold button thing I really is hard to find unless you know what your looking for.

After reading mixed reviews, I went to the AT&T store to see this phone for myself, and I bought it after comparing it to the other phones there. I really really love it. It’s not a smart phone so you don’t have to get a data package with it, but it has all kinds of data features like gps, mobile e-mail, and an internet browser if you need those things. The display is beautiful and the camera works wonderfully with 2.0 megapixels. Texting is, of course, a breeze with the full keyboard. You can also text with the touch screen if needed. Messages are displayed as conversations so you can review previously sent texts. That earlier comment about the hold switch is really bizarre – a monkey could unlock this phone.
Overall, this phone gets a 9 from me, the casual phone user and frequent texter. It only missed a point because I haven’t figured out how to transfer my own mp3s to use as ringtones, but that is a minor annoyance.

Ihave the blue version. nice, easy to use, texting is a breeze. You have CONVERSATIONS vice an inbox (so your texts are grouped by username and threaded). The touch screen on the front is locked (button on side to allow use), so you don’t butt-dial.
I have changed my ring-tones and incoming text-alerts. No problems, easy.
The camera is a tad tricky, ockward more/less but easy and self-explanatory to use
Other than that, I don’t use my phone as my music player, so I cannot comment on that, I don’t use the apps, so again, no comment. My alarm is pleasant, the blue color scheme is easy on the eyes.
As w/ all phones, terrible in daylight, so if its bright, you’ll need to find some shade.
The flip portion is great, texting is a breeze, I’m almost as sufficient as my son (woot!), however, due to my fat fingers, I sometimes type wrong letters, but that is my problem and not the phones.
other than that, I am very pleased w/ this phone, the sound quality is nice, ring tone levels are nice, and everything works great. My wife and I both have one (she has the pink, I have the blue) and it took us a day/two to get used to its feel (coming from ancient phones, this was a major upgrade for us), but now we are pros, texting left/right.
I find it quite nice….

This phone is pretty good, but I find it impossible to hang up from the keypad. I tried holding, tapping everything. The keypad appears to just go dead when you are talking. I hate this feature and it costs you minutes while you fumble around and have to open the clam shell to hang up! I have read everything and can find no way to resolve this.
Also I have decent eyesight but the users guide published the buttons so small these are useless and they do not show you where they are ON the phone so pretty much useless.
I won’t take it back, but I wouldn’t buy this phone again. It’s a disappointment. Maybe it will grow on me but I doubt it. I’ve had it for three weeks and I am still having some problems with simple functions that should be easy..like hanging UP. I see by these posts I am not the only one.
No one seems to have a good answer for this, so I suppose there isn’t one.

Ok for all of you (and I noticed its a lot) who were complaining that you cant press the end button on the external keypad because it locks after a few minutes…. I found a solution that works for me! On the right side there is the hold button and volume buttons. Just press any of the volume buttons and the keypad will become active! try it, it really works! and btw i have this phone for a few days now. so far no issues thank goodness just a little bulky and annoying that im constantly whipping the touch screen because it gets fingerprints. Another annoying thing is that there are no smiley faces in symbols or anywhere so you have to add your own its soooo annoying since i really use them often! If anyone figured something out please let me know!!! other than that It’s really cute and so far happy with it

CONS

* Idiotic stupid human usability features number 1: The touch sensitive number pad. Keep in mind Pantech’s history of making phones for kids and teens: Maybe kids and teens think the touch keys are cool or for shizzle or whatever Britney and Justin Timberlake would say, but for a normal person wanting a keypad that doesn’t press keys just when you hold the phone in your hand, it’s annoying. There’s no reason that this shouldn’t just have regular keys for the number pad too.

Idiotic stupid human usability item 2: Hanging up if you decide you want to hang up before your call goes to voice mail, or ahead of the other caller: As noted elsewhere, it is annoying and hard to do. TIP: Settings, Display, Backlight Timer, 30 seconds will make this hangup issue happen less frequently, but it will still happen if you want to hang up once the 30 seconds have passed.
* Less power to configure settings, like order of favorites, etc.

@fjt It’s in settings then profiles. Then go to edit and change your ring and alert tones. Make sure though once you’re done to hit the save. I didn’t do this the first few times and it just keeps the old settings.

i am currently getting this phone and my aunt has one ive used it and there is nothing wrong with the end button. it works perfectly, my cousin also have one and i use hers all the time the end key STILL works. shes had it for a month, i think that it is an over-all amazing phone. if you just want a phone you should get the razor phone or a more simple phone. like a flip phone or a slider phone. maybe this phone is just not for you. but other than that it is a really good phone and i cant wait to get it, the thing i love the most is that you can get silicone covers for them they come in all colors. which is really good because i have a habit of scratching it. anyways its an amazing phone and i would recommend it to everyone

I have had the phone since November, and I there are a few things I don’t like about it. So far there doesn’t appear to be a way to download Flash Player to watch video’s, even with Pantech Support. I have not been able to figure out how to put the decimal point in when using the calculator. It doesn’t sync with my PC even with the Pantech software Suite. The texting setup, using Conversations VS. Inbox/Outbox is very inconvenient. You cannot receive or view previous texts while on a call. The saved text limit is very small. I would not but this phone again. I had more features with my old Nokia flip phone. I do not like that it advertised voice dialing, but doesn’t have that feature. I do like the full keyboard. The camera takes pretty good pictures but who knows how to get it to zoom in! Pantech Support is basically useless, as they really don’t know their own phone features & AT&T store personnel are more uneducated. Again, bottom line, more problems than features and I would not buy this phone again. Not Recommended period.

hey guys ive had mucho problems on this phone!!!!!!!!!! it started with the phone’s screen freezing up completely. Thensometimes when i opened it up the entire picture on the screen turned upside down. Now my screen is messed up and have colors streaking through it and no, there is absolutely no water damage to the phone.

i dont have this phone yet but im trying to get it. to all of you people with the problem with the hanging up, it probably locked by itself while u were talking. so im guessing that you would have to press the button that unlocks the front keypad.
even if it doesnt work i dont see it as much of a problem to just open it up and press a button. its really quite simple

Ugh, do not like this phone. I’ve had it for a month, so I did give it a shot. I went from a samsung blackjack to this. It’s driving me nuts. The front side of the phone is far too sensitive. It does have a feature to end calls but it’s not done as quickly as other phones.
The battery life is terrible. I need to charge my phone every single day. I hate that. The charger itself is very annoying to place into the charge port of the phone. I cannot stand that a usb port is not standard on this phone.
The interface is not user friendly and makes you go thru multiple screens to do simple tasks. The signal is shotty at best. For people who have never had a cell before you may not notice but my reception with this phone is worse than my blackjack.
I also think it’s stupid that the ring profiles are all consuming. Everything is vibrate or everything is silent etc. You can’t pick and choose which features you want silent or to ring etc.
All in all I am not pleased and hate that I wasted my upgrade free phone on this garbage.

I’m really interested in this phone and I plan on getting it sometime in the near future the only concern I have from reading all these post is the END problem many people seem to be having when trying to end a call. I was wondering if everybdoys phone doing this I’m not real picky so I don’t care to push a button on the side but I don’t want to have to open the clamshell to end. we have a family plan and upgraded from BJII to the impacts. All of our phones have trouble sending text msgs. The msgs FAIL way to often. when we try sending the same msg from the same location with a BJII they go through fine.
then the phones go into an error mode where you have to call your cell number to wake them up.
my wife has given up on her phone.
I would ask if anyone else is having basic functionality issues with their impacts?
so much for an upgrade!

Okay people. You get these people talking crap because others can’t set their own ring tones, but the fact is, you can’t. Sure, you can change them to another of the stock tones, but you can’t add your own music. If you try to do it by editing your profile, it just says “setting is not allowed”, and if you try to use the options menu for the song itself, the “add as ringtone” option is grayed out.
Now, having said that, that is my only issue with the phone. Had it a few weeks now, and have not run into any of the issues the others are mentioning. Hanging up the phone from the outside pad is not an issue for me.
I have hung up on one person where my cheek hit the end call button, but once you know it can happen, you adjust, and it’s fine.
Have not had any problems with the phone freezing when I get too many texts.
If I could set my own songs as ring tones, or as my alarm, it would be a perfect phone.

Okay, for anyone that is having issues adding their own songs as ring tones, they have to be 300kb or less.
In other words, if you have full songs on here for listening to MP3s, you can’t use them for ring tones. You have to cut them down in length, or quality (or both), and get them below 300kb.
Kinda sucks, as I have a bunch of songs on here that I like to listen to, but now I have to have another copy of them, cut down to use as ring tones.

I just got my phone last night, and i LOVE it, i know three or four people that have this phone, they havent had ANY trouble at all with theirs. I love the feature to be able to lock the touch screen. This phone i def. worth the money!!!

Also, so far I really like this phone. I had a Samsung Propel and hated it and also we ordered 4 different Sony Ericcson W15a and all four of them locked up! You had to take the battery out of it to reset it so that it would work – on all 4 of them! So we traded in and I got the Imapact and so far I love it – except trying to figure out contact ringtones.

I had an Iphone and dropped it on its screen one day, and well without any insurance, that was the end of that…it had some cool things I liked about it, but for the most part I was annoyed by the touch screen…it locked up a lot, and took too long at other times. I’m getting the Pantech on a wing and a prayer, hoping none of the bad things I’ve been reading come true for me! I wanted something with an internal screen, for those cases where it gets dropped! If this ones external screen gets damaged you can still do the same functions on the internal screen from what I’ve gathered thus far!

Go to Menu, contacts, find the person that you want a special ringtone for and click on options then edit and if you scroll down you will find the place to set the ringtone for that one person. but you have to do it from the contacts list not from each individual person. Okay, i agree with FBrooks…NEGATIVE COMMENTS ARE HATERSSSSSS. Get through the lil brains. This phone is a very good phone, i’ve had it for about a week and I love. NO you cannot use a signature in texts, UNLESS you make a text template and insert the template in every text you send. Also, you CAN hang up or end a call from the front/touch screen, i just tested it. Brenda is right also.

Went to AT&T yesterday (6/25/10) to purchase this phone. Also, we left Verizon to try out AT&T as well. Honestly, at first I thought this phone was a piece of crap. However, as I played with the phone it started to grow on me. The manuel is not helpful at all. I honestly had to rely on my teck savy teenagers to help me. So, all in all it is a pretty good phone.

I am getting this phone in the mail in 2 days. Why do I suspect the problem with some (most?) of the complaints is ignorance. Perhaps it is wishful thinking. But a phone that won’t send messages from your outbox is obviously having network connection problems. If you live in an area that is congested or that has many IPhones accessing the cell tower you are near, you could experience network traffic.
The inability to set ringtones is obviously false. The Hang Up button issue sounds like a phone locking problem, and is prolly intentional to avoid unintentional hangups when the phone is closed. It prolly just requires a sustained press to activate.

This phone sucks, TRUST ME, I’ve had this phone for 3 months. The battery and back of the phone fall off all the time. It holds VERY little texts The front is stupid and doesn’t work well, after just 3 months. I have to get a new one. Ridiculous. Don’t waste your money-it wont last.

Well, the front is one of the things I liked most in the pictures and videos I have seen – I am a bit surprised that you don’t like it, which seems to be it’s biggest selling point. I guess there has to be a variety of opinions about everything.
I don’t know what you mean about *holding* texts. Surely you can save to mem card? Not that this is a biggie with me – although I get many messages (about 20-25 per day), I rarely save them.
The battery cover thing does concern me. This would really suck, if it did this by itself for no reason. Did you precipitate it by dropping it or banging it against something?

The reason it has problems hanging up on the front screen is because it was designed to lock the key pad when the “clamshell” is closed. The phone sometimes has problems realizing the difference between having the phone closed, and being on the phone.

OK, here is my review after receiving the phone last night: it’s pretty good, I’ll give it an 8.
Best features: Conversation texting mode, dual screens, .com button (yea!), full html browser, awesome front touchpad, solid build, looks
Worst features: Must go to home page to enter http address, can’t choose your own home page, doesn’t highlight the area code for dialing numbers off of text messages (big bummer), no I9 texting from front keyboard.
It does take getting used to after my Sony Ericsson W580I, which was a completely different shape factor and software. However, it is certainly miles ahead of that phone in almost every category.
Overall I am very pleased with my ‘purchase.’ (It was free!) I haven’t tried the accessories like alarm, calendar, etc yet.

I got this phone today…and it’s not all bad. For all you people that are saying the end button on the front doesn’t work….well it does. haha, sorry. Anyway, yeah, I like this phone alot. Wayyyy better then the lg shine or samsung propel. It’s different. I was a little worried about the pink at first, but I kinda like it
I’m getting a case for it soon anyway. I noticed a delay between opening the phone…I don’t like how you have to open the phone for the camera, but the camera is realllly good 
. The different clocks add a nice touch. This phone I must say tho, is kinda confusing at first. But I think I’ll get it.

Okay i got the phone and i loved it at first but after the first week i had it started having problems. the impact wouldnt allow me to press the select buttom or any button then it started to have a glich in the screen. this phone also would not turn off unless u took the batery out. i went back to the store i got it and exchanged yet another impact but im starting to have the same problems. the phone would be great got text messaging and calling if these problems did not excist. i wouldnt recemend this phone to anyone.

I’ve had this phone basically since it came out.
If you’re thinking about getting the Pantech Impact, there are a few things you might need to know.
Here are the stats.
The phone has threaded messaging. Yes, you can set mp3 ringtones (as long as they are under 300kb.) That feature irked me at first, but it’s manageable because who really uses an entire song as their ringtone? You can set text tones, but not for each individual person as you can with ringtones. The text tone works for everyone.
There is no earphone jack, sadly. Pantech wants you to use their dedicated jack for just about everything.
MicroSD comes in handy for transferring files between pc. and who could live without that nifty little lock button on the side assuring you don’t “butt dial” 911 every 10 seconds. ((trust me, I’ve done that so much it’s scary.. but not with this phone))
While the interface is a little old-school, it is easy to navigate. The outside OLED interface is a nice touch, but sometimes glitches up/freezes a bit during calls. At times unlocking the phone to end a call from the outside screen can cause lag or freezing which makes you have to try again or wait until the other person hangs up.. or you can just open the phone and hang up with the inside key.
Battery life is pretty good; I’d say about 3 to 4 days texting & calling. That, of course, depends on if you make 5 phone calls a day or 200. The keys are spaced evenly and work well for small or large fingers. The best creation yet is the workspace button to the left of the spacebar which lets you “switch windows” while you are texting, listening to music, so on.
I have had a few problems with text messaging. It seems in areas with low service (1 or 2 bars) I have had a daily re-occurrence where my texts would not send; and multi-media would just sit there without sending then freeze up where it refused to send. This was fixable with a soft reboot. Seems like new phones have to be reset about twice a day for them to work properly these days.
The camera is a 2.0mp camera. There is no flash, sadly, but most people will not mind this. It isn’t the greatest phone camera, but it is a camera and it works fine for little things.
All in all, it isn’t a bad phone. Not a smartphone, mind you, but it’s a phone and it does what it is supposed to do.
I do wish there were more customization options and perhaps T9 on the outside touchscreen, as it is a little annoying to have to tap away at the outside screen to try and text. So much faster to just open the phone and text.
As far as looks, this phone is very nice looking. The OLED outside will shock anyone who has no clue what it is.
There is no voice dialing feature, sadly. but I never really used that anyway. Trying to get a phone to call “John” and it decides to call “Home” instead was always a headache. Perhaps that is my accent messing with voice dialing, though.
My few issues with the phone are minimal. I want to be able to use t9 on the touchscreen, mp3′s that are full size for ringtones, and perhaps have a few more customization options, but it isn’t a smartphone like a blackberry where custom themes are limitless, so that may not ever happen.
Whatever you decide about the phone, make sure to do your research. and enjoy!

I have the pantech matrix, and will be getting the impact in the mail in a few days.
My way of getting whatever ringtone I want with the matrix was simple, I would just do a voice recording of the song off my computer, then once it saved I would choose “set as ringtone”.
My question is, can you set a voice recording as a ringtone on the impact??

you just hit it then it will say identifying song or hold phone close to music now and then you hold it up and if it has the song in its records/identifies song it will pop up….

Very disappointed with this phone. The battery doesn’t last more than 3 days (and I’ve tried 2 brand new batteries), the camera is hard to use and in an awkward place, you can’t just type someone’s phone number in for a text message, you have to search through the names and check the recipient, if you don’t have a data plan, all the icons on the shortcuts and main menu are absolutely useless. The user should have the option to change the main screen icons to what they use the most.
Wish I would have went with the Samsung!

I have now went through two of these phones, and had several problems. The signal reception is horrible!!! Never had a problem with getting signal until I got this phone. SIM card reader went out on first one, and now with new one too.

I love this phone. I have the pink one. I have seen a few complaints about not being able to set a ringtone for your texts. All you have to do is go to the settings, then , profiles, then scroll to the profile you’re using and edit it, it’s on the left-hand side. Also, someone complained about having to scroll through every contact to send a text. You only have to start typing in their name and they will pop up.

I like this phone but ivre had it for about a month and have some issues. when i first open it the screen doesnt light up untill i press a botton, it randomly turns off and the sim card reader just dies randomly. its very frustrating, since i took very good care of it.

I’ve dropped my phone about four times since I’ve had it ( the 11th ) and EVERYTHING is still fine!!
just make sure you follow the directions about how to correctly put the back on the phone, and how to insert the battery cord, which are 2 things I’ve heard people complain about a lot.

ive had the impact for about three months now, i hate it. im having the same problem that is mentioned above about the being on the fone and the touch screen wont come one, so i have to hang up by opening it and pressing the inner end button. you are supposed to be able to check texts while your fone is open on speaker. which i can do….only half the time. also, alot of the time if i open my fone “too fast” it cuts off. im not sure how to open it differently. sometimes i will be in an area with a perfect signal and my fone will sholw that i have one. but it will keep saying sending failed. so i have to turn it off then back on to send the message.this is now the second one ive had and am having to return it too. its doing the same things. i absolutly hate this phone. i usually love pantech fones but this one is not a good one.

L_O_V_E this phone… just got it a few hours ago, and its a great phone. i only use it for texting, so i don’t use the web. its keyboard is a little hard to use, i will admit, but other than that a great phone! highly recomended, and suck it up people who think that the hold button is to hard to use! if u read the instruction manual, which i didn’t even need, or use your fricken eyes, than u can easily c/use it. This phone is truly amazing! I just got it yesterday, I love it, I’ve been wanting since it first came out, I had Verizon so I had to switch to AT&T to get it. You can set ringtones and text tones, I text a lot so the key pad is great! Would totally recommend this phone!!!!!

I just got the Pantech Impact as an upgrade after losing my old Samsung for a few days. After only 6 minutes on the phone with my mother I noticed that it was getting hot around the camera area. I would expect that after half an hour or an hour conversation, but not a 6 minute conversation.
I hate that I can only customize 2 sound profiles, and all the AT&T numbers that cannot be deleted (scroll through 9 AT&T numbers to go from Ashlei to Avery). There are also 2 shortcuts that cannot be changed (#2 and #3)- how is THAT user friendly?? It doesn’t alert you if a text cannot be sent when you have no signal; it just stores the unsent message in the outbox. It’s hard to hear using the outside of the phone, so I keep opening it to speaker.
It’s a really sleek and small phone. I thought it’d be bulky with the opening, but it isn’t. Probably not a phone for anyone with large fingers (though the keys are large in comparison to other phones like the Blackberry). The ring and alert volume gets super loud but can be easily adjusted.
I like it so far. There are a lot of issues, but they’re all small issues (except the heating up) and I think I can get used to the quirks of this new phone.

the bulbs are actually light sensors. when youre taking a call and using the outside of the phone (not speaker) if you take it away from your face, it will light up again. i found that out by putting my finger over them, but was wondering for a while what they were for.
does anyone know if theres a charge for using the XM radio/music app or any of the other things? my mom would hate to see an extra charge, but id like to use everything, especially the music applications. thx

I got this phone a week and a half ago and it’s excellent. I love it, and I’ve had generally no problems. If you are having problems then of course you should take it back for a new one. The things I don’t like about it though are: I can’t figure out how to put T9 on the front keyboard, I’m not sure how to delete outbox messages, YOU CANNOT HAVE A SIGNATURE FOR THOSE WHO HAVE ASKED!, you can’t choose a different ring tone for incoming and outcoming messages, you can’t make a ringtone for EVERYONE that calls, just specific people(as far as I know) and the camera is tricky to work with but produces GREAT quality pictures when you do figure out how to use it. All in all a great phone, love the quality and how easy it is to type on the full keyboard.(one thing I was worried about.) Most people would LOVE this phone. (:

Also, you can hang up on the front. It’s called tapping the second upper right corner button on the touch screen. It’s not that hard, honestly. So for those of you that didn’t know that….sad days for you. Learn to sit down for 30 minutes to an hour and figure out the phone. It’s EASY. I AM SO FRUSTRATED WITH THIS PHONE.
I’ve had it two weeks and I have never dropped it, so I know it’s not something I did.
The first day I absolutely loved it. Clear pictures, easy keyboard. I thought I had the perfect phone.
Day two roles around and my messages aren’t sending to people. The phone says they sent, but no one was receiving them. And after the worst week my messaging is now completely freezing! I have to constantly restart my phone in order to open my messages! I HATE ITTTT!

Just got this phone yesterday. I had the same problem many others had, with not being able to hang up on a call – or press any buttons so I couldn’t even delete voice mails. It would automatically lock when in call mode and couldn’t be unlocked. I had put a protective screen on it, so I removed that, and now it seems to work. Might be an issue with the light sensor. If it happens one more time, I’m taking it back. So far so good…

This phone is an utter piece of shit to put it quite frankly. I’ve had shitty $10 gophones that worked better, it’s glitchy as hell, and not very user friendly.
I’ve had it a few months, and I can no longer even ANSWER CALLS and that’s one of the basic functions of a cell phone. It’s useless to have one that can’t. But nope, try as I might, it’s glitchy to the point I can no longer answer calls, I have to ignore them and call the person back. Super inconvenient.
The other glitches/issues with user-friendliness are quite numerous, but I just thought I’d share that one to sway anyone thinking of getting this phone. Please don’t make the same mistake I did.

If you need a phone to make calls, this phone is NOT for you. I’ve had the phone for six months, and hate it. I went back to using my palm treo.
Things that suck about the impact.
1. Can’t see the display in bright light, (like outdoors).
2. Face/pocket dials, despite keypad lock.
3. Keypad locks-up, you have to open the phone to do what you should be able to do on the outside.
4.You need to open the phone to take photos, (and keep it open- very awkward).

This phone is a piece. I owned it for less than 6 months and the battery overheated while charging which melted my battery cover. I have now waited 3 months for a battery cover. Pantech does not seem to care because they have no answer to my emails as to why. It is a design defect. A lot of people seem to have problems with. ANother problem I incurred is that initializing message came up. For a month I did not recieve or send texts and had no voicemail waiting indicator. This phone is a piece of shit and I cant wait for my stint with AT&T to be over so I can go back to Sprint.

I have had the pink one for less than 6 months, and the battery case will not stay on it is a piece of crap! It will not charge. And thank goodness they have a one year warranty, Do NOT purchase this phone, It is poorly made. My mom and 2 sisters received these phones also and they live 3000 miles away from me. YOU CAN HAVE MUSIC AS A RINGTONE!! I’ve had this phone for a couple months now and it’s a pretty good phone. You can record your own ringtones but it costs money I think. Aside from the glitches that some people may or may not experience, such as not being able to hang up unless opening the folder, or not deleting outbox messages (which, you can fix by simply restarting the phone). Those are just a couple.
The phone cannot have signatures. There is no t9 on the front screen. There is a full qwerty keyboard, which does have t9, and the keys are well proprtioned. You can set anything as your text/ringtone, as long as they are UNDER 300KB. this also goes for recordings, which i have had as both my ring and message tones.
It does freeze occasionally, but this VARIES. It may not freeze at all for some!
I wouldn’t recommend the phone. Its really pretty, has nice cases and covers, and it has a great texting set up but the cons over rule the pros for me so i would overall rate it a 6. So get it, but completely AT YOUR OWN RISK.

I got this phone for my birthday and I love it and no you cannot get signatures with this phone which is really disappointing. And you also cannot get T9 on the touch screen part on the front but I barely use it anyways. I take advantage of the QWERTY keyboard instead. This is kinda off subject but everyone with reviews on this website has a monster picture. Why? And where can I get one? Oh and by the way “Crimson”, that was a reeeeeeally long coment. Overall I looove this phone even though some people call it “outdated” it looks pretty modern to me. You can find really great cases for it on ebay!

I got this phone and i LOVE this phone i would really recomend this. It is the best. The worst part is where the camera is located. I love the conversation feature so it is easier to get to that message u r looking for. It is great for huge text messengars. I would so recomend this phone. There is only 33 seconds of recording videos but i usualy dont record videos so i dont care. You cant set a signature tho, sorry
but its easy to get over this cuz its a fantastic phone. My friends luv this phone and so do i. I just replaced it with the Lg Shine and that phone sucked so i really wanted to get another phone and i looked at several phones, actually alot lol but my fav one was this one. I really wanted it and im glad that i got it

Amazing phone. Works great! Conversation view is great and ringtones sound amazing! The battery has a good life! I’ve had this phone for awhile now and I’m still happy with it! There’s no way to set up a signature. And people switching from a smart-phone to this are making their own mistakes. This is not set up to be a smart-phone so it won’t be the same! Ending a call is easy! Play around with the buttons on the side. I really think people are making reviews without having actually getting to know the phone itself. I spend a few days looking over every detail of the phone and pay attention to the details. People are saying they’re getting screwed from AT&T but aren’t paying attention. E-mail is INTERNET and there is a fee. Just because the phone comes with the features doesn’t mean they’re free. I’ve had my own issues with it freezing, but all phones do it(even smart-phones!). Overall, it’s a really great phone and I reccomend to a person who wants a user-friendly phone with texting and phone calls.

ok. Pantech Impact. I have this phone in blue. One thing I noticed is that a case or a cover is almost a must. Most cases are very inexpensive. Its a great phone. I am a teen and text sooo much so this phone is great for texting. One thing I have noticed is it is kinda hard to hang up sometimes on the front but when that happens all you need to do it open up the phone and press the end button in there. The battery life is AMAZING! Went 3 days without my charger. The phone never died. It has internet and (i know how this sounds. Crazy.) is very good for secretive texting. The front in a touch sensitive keypad with a simple lock on the side. The front keypad has on optional buzz to go with it. It has multiple tools such as stopwatches and timers. There is only 2 things I don’t like. You can’t have one ring tone for one contact but a different one for another. The other one is that you cannot have a signature. Otherwise a great phone! I love this! I have had it for about 4 months and it hasnt given me much trouble. Its great for a first time fone. i absolutely LOVE it

I have this cruddy phone. It sucks dont get it. This phone constintly shuts off then turns back on all the time. I have had so many problems with it. It just deleted all of my pictures all 600 of them. This phone has put me with so much stress i would love to through it out the window. The only good thing about it is it has a lot of memory for pictures. but not for messages . Dont get this phone. DO NOT ABBSOULTLY DO NOT GO TO AT&T THEIR SERVICE IS THERRIBLE! Also the touch screen on front is terible. When your leaning your cheek on the touch screen and talking on the phone the phone hangs up on the person! The front gets so scratched up a case is a must. I dont have a case and my screen is nothing but scratches. Just dont get this phonee.

Also, you cant hang up unless you open it which goes on speaker phone . :/ this phone stinks. Plus the camera is difficult to use. This phone confuses many. You cant change the ringtone when you get a text it stays always as an annoying tune beeep . You cant get service , and you cant make a signature . DONTTTTTT GGEEETT THIS PHONE!

I am currently a customer of the AT&T Phone&Gadget store. And I own the blue Pantech Impact. I personally quite like it, except for some flaws. Such as, you cannot add your own personal logo or signature when you send a text to another people. And I cannot figure out how to set up my voice-mail, and I have been told many many times that I am quite intelligent. Yes, when you’re talking on the phone and you are done you have to open it up and hit the end button inside of the texting keypad, or you can wait until the other person ends your conversation first, but is it really that much of a hassle? And lastly, if anybody out there can please tell me why I cannot set my voice memo recording as my ring tone, please let me know.

To everyone who is asking about why you can’t send your messages and then constantly turning it off: Note; It is not the Pantech Impact.. Many problems occur with AT&T phones, and that just happens to be one of them. I’m getting this phone in 2 days, many of my friends have this phone & don’t have any problems with it. I would recommend this phone. I don’t care about the “False Advertising”, because most people don’t need Voice Commands on there phone. Well, at least I don’t. Personally, I would just set that problem aside and enjoy the beauty of this phone. (:

I have this phone, and mine is perfectly fine.
It shuts off randomly at times but not too often. The only things that bother me is the back doesn’t stay on but that’s my fault. And you can’t have a signature. But other than that, it’s great. And I like the fact that texts are put into conversations so you won’t forget the topic. It gets really great 3G service too. And the pink color is adorable. I love this phone.

Anddddd you can change the ringtone for text, just like you can for calls. You go to Menu, Settings, Profiles, View or Edit, and then Message Sound.

I bought this phone, and an VERY unsatisfied with it. I have repeatedly requested a phone that works properly, and AT&T has blown me off. My phone wil not hang up , I must open the phone to end my conversation! I cannot just press the end button. This is anacceptable! I can set the phone on a table, and 1 number will repeatedly “dial” by itself! The touch screen (front face plate) sometimes freezes, not allowing any functions at all (cant answer incoming calls, cannot end conversations), and I must open the phone and close it again to get it to work. As a consumer, i will never use AT&T again, not only because this is a crappy phone, but as a professional adult, I have been dismissed by their customer service reps each time I request their help with problems with this phone. I JUST WANT A PHONE THAT WORKS!!!!

Get a case!!! Just sayin. My phone has a case. Its around 4ish months old. Havent had any problems. My fried got the phone on the same day and broke it the next weeks because she didnt have a case.

it is good phone, for texting, the phone puts all your text in conversations. its easy to use. i had this phone for almost a year now and it still works fine after water logging it you would love it if you are not a tech person. and and it has some problems but what phone doesnt

i have learnt alot from this site, ive had the phone a few days,, and i loveeee the phone except that i cant get signal.. theres a x where the bars should be all the time,,, when i wanna send a text or call i have to move around,, what can i do to make my signal better,,, because i wanna keep the phone,, i just cant deal with that.. when i try to text it says no signal. i can try it 20 times and be the same, and when i do have bars, its only 1 or 2, never full… please help……

When I first got this phone I loved it. The picture quality was amazing as was the battery life. However, after having the phone for 6 months I was no longer able to hang up my phone without first hitting the hold button several times or opening and closing the clam shell. Then whenever I was on the phone with someone, I could hear them, but they could not hear me and it didn’t matter if the phone was opened or closed. I took it to the store and they sent me to the local AT&T tech store. They couldn’t fix the problem so they gave me a new impact, but now, 6 months later, my phone keeps telling me that some of my messages from reliable people are corrupt! It also keeps freezing up on me and won’t let me do anything with my messages until I turn it off and back on again. I think this phone is a piece of crap if it needs to be replaced every 6 months!

I’ve been using this phone for about a year now. The pluses: great build – it’s heavy and rugged and take a lot of abuse. Cool touch buttons on the front respond to your fingers but have no moving parts. Nice screen. Pretty good browser that can go from full html to mobile enhanced depending on what works best. The minuses: querty keyboard doesn’t have raised keys, making typing not as easy as some phones. Cant go back and forth between messages without backing out to the list display (no forward, back buttons for text messages); speaker phone volume isn’t that loud; voice clarity through the main speaker (not the speaker phone speaker) is not as good as some phones I’ve owned. Can’t save messages to different folders – you can either keep em in the inbox or delete them. Overall, it’s not bad enough to trade for another, but not good enough that I want to keep it for a long time!

1. How do you put music on this phone? Can you transfer iTunes files onto it or do you have to download music from ATT? (How much is is to download songs on ATT?)

I have the blue Pantech Impact and at first I loved this phone but now I hate this phone. I have had it for about a year and over the last few months while I am in the middle of a phone it will just hang up on me. I do love the full keyboard but that is the only thing about I love. I also have trouble hanging the phone up from the keypad on the front, I have to open it up and hang up from there. But my biggest gripe is it hanging up on me.

ok sooo i have had 2 pink pantechs the first i had was a used one but it got stolen but it was junk anyway the bck wouldnt stay on i had to tape it down so when tht one got stolen i got a brand new pantech impact and it turns itself on and off sometimes and right now im tryin to get it fixed bcuz my messagin aint workin right so this phone aint workin as good as i thought it would and my mom got a blue one and the external screen dnt work and and the bck wont stay on

do not get this phone. i repeat do not get it. the front screen light went out and i have only had it three months. this has happened to four other people i know. also none of the phone cases you buy fits it and a;so the internal screen takes forever to turn on.

I got this as my first phone, and I love it.
The pros: High-quality ring tones, bright display, and easy to use.
The cons: Very small space for texts, messages become full very quickly, after a while, it gets to the point where it restarts itself often, and just last night it shut off completely and needed the battery popped out, and I’ve only had it since Sept. 2010. But I like this phone a lot, it’s a great first phone to have, but there is a good sized chance that you’ll get one that doesn’t work right, I ordered mine online, so I guess my chance was slimmer, but this phone can have a lot of problems. So I give it 5 out of 10.

I ave this phone and I absolutley LOVE IT! i got it for my 11th bday and it is awesome!! my only problem is the front… it gets scratched alot and it annoys me so much!! it is really easy to use and i love the settings… i wish i could put a signature on my texts and change the color of the font. The camera is cool, but my finger always gets in the way and it is annoying. The camera is delayed. Overall, i’d give this phone a 4/5 because of those minor issues. The appearance is great and the keyboard is nice and big! I like how it shows the whole conversation when you text a person so you know what you are replying to! It is a great phone for an 11 year old!

This phone is pretty good.For those of you who want to know, you can delete one message by going to options in the message you want to delete and highlight the message u want to delete then press d to delete. if u want to delete the whole conversation you want to delete them go to options and click delete all. also, there is no signinture.

love this phone a lot but I have two things on it I dont like: One is that the same thing everyone has had when I am during a call cant click the end button on the front which is sorta a let down and another thing is It gets scratches really easy… You have to be careful other then that I love this phone especially since it is not a smart phone

i just got this phone from craigslist the other day… nothing really seems to be wrong with it…. the whole ringtone and camera thing i can look past…but sometimes when i open the phone it stays black for a few seconds then flickers back to the home page… and my sister lost her fone the other day so i grabbed my phone to call hers and my phone wouldnt call it… it said it was ringing but hers never saw my call… idk if it was her fone actin up or mine? any one else have this problem??

thank you folks. I have the same problem about phone not ending a call when i pressed the button. I first thought it was because my hands were cold and the heat receptors for the touch pad wouldn’t recognize my touch, it was negative 10 F. Also when I contacted tech support was informed that this was the first time they heard of my problem.
Now I am wondering how to use the decimal point on the calculator, I do a lot of shopping and need it to compare prices.

Hey! So I ordered this phone online. Am I going to regret getting it? IM getting mixed reviews on this phone. I have a friend who has this phone and she says its a terrific phone. I curretnly have the Pantech Link. It was an ok phone with minor bugs. When I went to the ATT store they said they no longer sell it in stores. He said u might wanna b careful with ordering a 2 year olod phone. it could have major bugs. Is there any major bugs i hould b worrying about?
