I think Nokia fans will love this phone but for me the price is really high. Buying with that price is not what is could give a try for.

From what I have been reading there has been mixed reviews of this device. I certainly like what I have seen so far. Although I would have liked to see an ARM Cortex-A8 instead of the ARM11 processor in this handset. I will not make up my mind to buy until a month or two after it has been released to here what the actual users are saying.

if the processor of this phone is ARM 11 (434MHz), how much would it affect the phone’s performance? I hope it won’t be slow otherwise, the capacitive touch screen would be a waste

Uhu: Yeah, right. The iPhone is much better with its crappy GPS and shitty camera. As for HTC I own one (Diamond) and while its compact and has a great GPS its not perfect. The best phone is/was the Nokia N95 8GB. This phone had it all. The iPhone, Android phones, even new Nokias are shit compared to the old N95. The X6 looks to be the perfect choice to all who need a complete mobile solution because right now already I see its much better than the iPhone and all other current handhelds.

I just got my Nokia x6 today and so far I love it. Working perfectly and the Comes with music store is so great. The pone also looks great. It might be a bit thick (not compared to my old phone) but it is not as wide as iphone for example. Nice phone

I have just bought this phone on contract about 2 weeks ago and it is amazing. Im only a teenage and obviously love my music so this phone is brilliant for me. The touchscreen is so responsive and being able to get music for free is a big bonus. Also, I have never had a nokia before but didnt like them much at all so when I got this phone I was very worried whether i would like it, but I literally can live without it. Get this phone now!

If you have a car kit, don’t get a Nokia. If you check the Nokia support forums you will see pages of threads created by people who bought Nokia and discovered that it won’t work properly with their in car telephone kit.
It pairs via bluetooth, but will not push the phonebook over, nor the recent or missed calls. You can’t access the phone using the cars controls but have to pick up the handset and find the numbers on it – which makes driving dangerous and makes the car kit virtually pointless.
BMW, Audi, Saab, Ford, are all unsupported by Nokia. How is it possible that one of the worlds largest mobile phone companies cannot get it’s phones to support modern car phone kits?
Last Nokia i ever buy.

I think I´m one the most qualified to give an oppinion on this device given the fact that I´ve had 5 Nokia X6, the 32 Gb version, since March 2010. In only one month I{ve experienced several troubles with these device. The software is just pure crap, it´s like just an old lady covered with some make-up. It constantly freezes up and the only way to turn it off is removing the battery. It won´t restart again. One of them had some trouble to recharge the battery. Another one had some trouble with the audio plug. I strongly believe this phone has some manufacturing defects but until Nokia acknowledges we, as customer will have to keep coping with these kinds of things. I live in Beijing, so anyone can check it out in case of any doubt.

i bought this mobile last month (june 10)which cost me Rs 16400….I was very happy to buy this mobile but later I felt that my money was not worth….as this phone needs a lot of improvement like ;ovi store–it does not give much software to download and service is poor , mp3 player–if you listen to the music its not at all good as company says its a music phone….if u buy samsung jet u will find better quality of music as compared to nokia x6,,,,,….phone hangs when u do surfing and other net activities….
So i advise everyone out there dont waste your money on buying this handset……..its really not good…..i will give this set 4 out of 10 ……….please take me seriously while buying this phone

I used to have the nokia x6, but didnt like it. I ordered from online without seeing it, and when the phone arrived it was a lot bigger than I expected. I dont like big phones. I now have the sony xperia mini which is smaller than a credit card!

Guys i have just bought X6 phone. I am facing some problems like every time i put alarm i cant snooze alarm or stop alarm without unlocking phone and when alarm rings even i cant unlock phone to stop alarm. Every time i have to press red button and then go to alarm to stop alarm.

I got nokia x6 16GB and it is crap, it is so f*****g slow i want to throw it out the window
it is the worst thing that i have ever bought. Just opening the gallery takes forever realy i just opend it and there are around 100 picturs in the gallery and it took 5 minutes and 26 seconds to open, the internet is SLOW, gps does not work properly i got it to function ones and now it cant get any point closer than 50KM from where im standing.
ratin from 0-10 i give it a 3 because i can hear the other person when i speek on the phone.

Hey friends iam from bangalore, and iam a big mobile freak and fan of nokia phones. But after using this crap x6 i really hate nokia. Iam using this phone from past 4 days. My biggest trouble is that this phone hangs very frequently when i use for taking pics or video, the only option is i have to remove the battery and then start it again. Can anybody suggest can nokia service people repair it?

Firstly, I’m stating my opinion, not trolling. So don’t start cursing me cause i’m never going to see what you commented cause frankly, i came here by accident and won’t come again.
I own a X6 16GB. The first thing i checked was if it was original set. Only after that i bought it. I never experience the ‘laggyness’ for surfing or opening gallery. Sure it might be a milisecond slow but it’s not slow till i can’t get a response back. It’s suprisingly nice, for a phone.
Secondly, it’s a goddamn phone. It’s not a powerhouse to be used as a server or something. Use it like a phone. Internet surfing takes heavy data and images at times, and it’s running on a mini processor, not i7!
Thirdly, I’m bad at direction. My friends and ex knows it very well, and I can’t find places by direction given. But X6 helped me a lot. The GPS worked marvels, though on uncharted roads it gets confused. But not for long, as long as i return to main road, it’ll identify the road and i’ll be on my way.
Btw, Flash Player is free. Any idiot can know that if he tries to download it. But i may be wrong if there’s a new version that nokia charges you for it. Honestly, don’t care. I got it free.
Lastly, it’s really awesome when you try to learn things that you can do with it. Right now, my X6 homescreen is on par with N97 with the software that allows widget on it. The normal X6 doesn’t have the feature, so don’t bother finding.
Sorry if i rambled on too long, but seeing all the retarded comments really irked me. Get a original, not some fake-ass phone that looks like X6. And it’s a fucking phone, not some metal robot that can handle stresses. Enjoy it like how a phone should be and it’ll appeal to you. If not, get a fucking netbook and walk around with it. Iphone users, brag when your phone finally supports flash and bluetooth. It’s a joke, seriously. I mean, come on, Bluetooth.
I prefer phone to have some weight to it. I know it’s there in my pocket and i don’t have to squint my eyes to see the words when i surf.
Then again, my personal opinion. Do feel free to chip in, if you think i’m misguided.

The x6 ain’t that bad had it for 3 months now its not the best phone around but still very impressive. I have a lot of friends that have a x6 and nobody is complaining of the hanging thing maybe you guy’s got the bad one of the batch. . . I dropped my x6 in water a few weeks ago and it is still working now just dried it off and presto. My battery life is reduced but hey at least its still working. Nokia built a solid phone guy’s so stop complaining. And if you don’t like the x6 give it to a homeless guy sure he will appreciate it.

I have this phone for about month (I get it from company). I’m pretty familiar with symbian S60V3 and tricks related to it. But this S60V5 is unbelievable shit that I could not imagine. This OS should never been released in public. Very few things works properly on it. Worst thing is 128 MB ram which is too low for any sirious usage, especially if you use SPB shell. My advice is, avoid this phone (and any S60V5 device), get HTC if you can, If you can’t, than some S60V3 device like E52 or E72.

SERIOUS ATTENTION!!! Has any one faced this problem???
I have this nokia x6. I am having a serious problem with this damn mobile. The display of this mobile is not working properly. When ever my cell is on idle mode(charging, synchronizing or just out of the pocket), the display gets damaged. It does not shows clear display. Touch screen and keys works properly but the screen shows everything blurred. But when you keep it in your pocket for some moment, the display works again… what is the actual problem??

NOKIA X6 WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!
I have had (3) Nokia X6 since 31st December 2010. The first 2 were sent back because they had almost NO Service coverage (Emergency Call Only) kept popping up on the screen when you “tried” to make a call.
The only way this could be overwritten was to request the Nokia OVI Server to connect then you would get your coverage back.
Its like the guts of the phone goes into sleep mode and won’t ring out OR accept any incoming calls. Problem stayed the same after a 153Mb S/W upgrade.
Now the third phone has got coverage BUT keeps going into landscape mode and won’t return, the screen goes OUT but the Red, Green and White hard buttons stay illuminated,the touch screen doesn’t work, power down is the only remedy, also keeps going into Edit Contacts mode, and this is with the latest Software installed.
ABSOLUTE JUNK Shame on you Nokia

As a huge Nokia fan, I got the Nokia X6 16GB 4 month ago. I was really looking forward to getting something extraordinary for the money I paid for it. Firstly, I had to upgrade the firmware since its performance was abysmal! Secondly, since it supposed to be a music phone, the loudness is rather weak; not to mention the user interface. In my opinion, Nokia just lost the point and simply cannot keep up with other smartphone makers e.g HTC which is Light Years ahead. If you intend to buy a new smartphone and are a big fan of Nokia, I recommend you to put your hands on HTC first(e.g HTC Desire or better on Desire HD) and then take a look at Nokia’s phone (N8 the flag ship). The choice will be made in an instant.

1. The software periodically freezes up and the only way to resolve this is to remove the battery, sometimes losing any data which was being viewed at the time and obviously restarting the phone.
2. Hang-ups or lags are frequent, especially when opening galleries or the music player – this sometimes results in having to restart the phone.
3. The camera software often ‘hangs’ after taking a photo and then loses the photo just taken, resulting in the image being lost!
4. The web browser shuts down during the middle of operation, resulting in having to reboot the browser and the page being viewed. This has caused me to lose large emails written for work on numerous occasions.
5. Halfway through writing a text message the cursor will move and delete the whole message.
6. For some reason the phone doesn’t always give you caller id on incoming phone calls, even when the number calling is not locked and is from a contact.
7. The touch screen can be unresponsive and is sometimes very slow to react to touch, even with no applications being open.
8. When I’m busy in an application it will open up another application without reason.
And last, but not least,
9. The phone randomly drops connection, says sim card registration failed, restarts and then loses data and information!
Don’t do it and don’t be fobbed off by retailers/suppliers/Nokia – check their website -are they even still selling the phone? NO!

I figured out how to get Nokia X6 louder – buy ordinary earphones! Throw away the default Nokia earphone with the speaker, it is a shit! It limits the sound; without it, it is 40% louder!!!

3 words to describe the Nokia X6: Absolutely Fucking Shit!
If you like browsing the internet do not go anywhere near this pathetic device – you’ll get blank screens and wait a minute + for a page to load, before getting a message that the memory is full and that the internet browser is shutting down.
Expect to see constant pop-ups for the screen for software updates, that you can’t actually download via the phone but have to do so on your pc (although it will constantly remind you).
Constant popups for the phone trying to access the internet, set-up your email and randomly open applications when you haven’t pressed anything.
The phone regularly freezes as well. A miserable little piece of excrement. I patiently count down the days of my contract expiry – as much as getting a decent phone as taking a hammer to the X6 and smashing it to smithereens.
Completely abysmal. RIP Nokia. I will never buy one of your phones again.

After a year and half of fucking hell with X6, I threw the piece of crap away and bought Samsung Galaxy S2!!!! Man! The S2 is out of this world!
