Nexus S Review
This is the first phone running the latest Android 2.3 version also called as Gingerbread. The Nexus S is a powerful smartphone with the latest multimedia features.
Together with Google, Samsung had the ambition to push the Android platform even further forward and create a smartphone that is both highly functional and offers amazing user experience.
Android 2.3 aka Gingerbread is the fastest version of Android OS to date. The new platform includes a new keyboard with multi-touch support, internet calling (VoIP) and a new user interface. The Nexus S Android includes some interesting features such as Wi-Fi hotspot support, multitasking and all the Google mobile services like Google Search, Gmail, YouTube and Google Maps. The Nexus S also has access to more than 100 000 widgets and apps in the Android Market.
For an optimal viewing experience, the Nexus S is equipped with Samsung’s Super AMOLED touchscreen. The 4-inch display has a ergonomic design that is slightly bent to fit well against your ear and in your hand (see the image on top). With a 1 GHz processor Samsung applications run smoothly enough. You can view HDTV quality multimedia content and 3D graphics and they look sharp on the display.
