Not so well known South-Korean cellphone manufacturer called Pantech has just announced its first Android device, the Pantech Sirius.

The Sirius is a very slim (only 11.5mm thick) touchscreen smartphone, with similar functions to Google Nexus One and HTC Desire.
The device is based on the Android OS 2.1 and has a 3.7-inch AMOLED WVGA touchscreen, a 1Ghz Snapdragon processor, WiFi connectivity, T-DMB technology, DivX support, a camera 5-megapixel camera and 500 MB of internal memory. The phone comes with a 8GB memory card that you can install in your phone easily.

As you can see above, this terminal has a Snapdragon processor, a 3.7-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, HDMI output, TV tuner, Wi-Fi connectivity, 500MB internal memory , and a microSD card slot up to 32 GB.

As I mentioned before, the team is destined for the Korean market, and will marketed exclusively by Sky.

The Pantech Sirius will be available in South Korea starting this month, through SK Telecom. The price of Pantech Sirius phone will be about $810.
Pantech said that is currently in negotiations with Verizon, AT & T and KDDI (Japanese mobile operator) for making an Android smartphone for them.
